Colorado Cross Clash

A little friendly competition took place last weekend that involved three teams of the hardest hardmen on the Front Range.  These Flahutes, from the beer drinking dad’s league, showed up at an undisclosed location without oversight from a governing body with no registration lines or late fees.  This competition amongst the CO CX Clash riders was hotter than the current feud brewing between the USAC and ACA (but that’s for FMVC to discuss) or even the Rapha-Focus Cross Clash on CrossResults.com.

The CO Cross Clash was simple; drink a beer, run around the pavilion, then head out onto a course that was not or would not ever be approved by Mud and Cowbells.  And the winner was, well we were all winners for heading out on a Sunday afternoon to hang with friends, talk cyclocross, race bikes, bash the norms, and drink some beer.  And of course we used liberal amounts of embrocation!

Team RLW in Action

Check out this video of some of the Routine Leg Works team members riding in the Boulder Racing CX #3 at Interlocken on October 22, 2011.

If you are racing or watching at the Boulder Cup this Sunday (10/30) then stop by the team area close to the Belgium steps and say howdy.

Flahute

RLW: Flahute

This has become a fall classic and continues to develop a strong reputation as a comfortable convenience to the inspired athlete. The butter will provide a sheen like barrier for the skin. Although not intended to block the wind this special blend uses several unique ingredients to provide a warming affect for the muscles in cool or cold weather. The aromatic smell offers a hint of fall and cyclocross or visions of pave’ for the spring road warrior. Either way this product warms the muscles and keeps them running smooth for several hours. It is also great for the skin.

The base butters are Shea, and Jojoba.
The essential oil mix contains: Clove, Cinnamon, Orange, Rosemary, Lemon, and Cajeput.  Additional ingredients include cayenne and jojoba oil.

Best used prior to athletic activity, especially those that occur outside in cool or cold weather.

To apply, it is the old two finger swipe from the 4oz. tin. Please take a minute to massage the embrocation into the desired area. Enjoy the scent, enjoy the warmth and the improved circulation for athletic performance.

Back to Basics CX Series

Team Routine Leg Works was able to assist in the promotion of the Back to Basics Cylocross Series in Golden, Colorado.  Approximately 450 racers came out over the three weeks of racing on Wednesday evenings to hone those ‘Cross skills.  Lee Waldman did a great job of making this series a HUGE success.

The Team RLW members raced hard each week garnering them weekly podium finishes and some taking the series overall.

Thanks to the Golden Bike Shop, the Back to Basics - Part 2 CX Series will continue Wednesday night racing for two more weeks.  Looking forward to a couple more weeks of racing.  See you out there.

I really do hope Joey is OK.

I think most have come across this clip by now, at least in the cyclocross world. It has been amazing to follow the creativity associated with this clip.
